I wonder how many times in the day you think about what
you’re going to eat at the next meal, or maybe before the next meal?
You see, for many of us our bodies are just not how we
want them to be. There’s a bit of extra podge
here, a bit too much wobble there. Whatever it is, we want to change it.
We try one new diet after another. We jog for a few days,
don’t see any change and give up. Then we feel guilty and start all over again
with yet another diet and fitness program at which we, once more, fail
miserably.
Then it’s time to feel depressed and think that nothing
is ever going to work for us.
Does this sound familiar to you?
Well now is
your break through moment when you discover the secret of losing weight. And not
putting it back on again a few months down the line.
You see, a 'diet' which really helps you to do that isn’t just a fad. It’s a way to help you change your whole lifestyle
without getting rid of entire food groups.
I want to
introduce you to James Duigan's Clean & Lean concept.
First introduced to the world in a book called ‘The Clean
& Lean Diet’ in 2012, it has now been revised and updated to be released
for e-readers and can be downloaded onto Kindles or iPhones and iPads using the
Kindle app.
Supermodels love it. Victoria's Secret girls and film
stars Rosie H-W, Lara Stone, Hugh Grant, to name a few, are fans. However, the
real magic is that it works for everyone.
This is the reason that the book is not advertised. It
relies on the ‘word of mouth’ recommendations of those people who have taken
advantage of its secrets. Also, those followers who have experienced Duigan's
workouts in his London gym ‘Bodyism’(which, incidentally, was recently voted as
top gym by Tatler) enthusiastically recommend his secrets.
He actually
recommends fresh food which is as close to its natural state as possible. For
example an apple in your fruit basket is similar to an apple still on the tree.
However, potato crisps have gone through so many processes that they are very
different from the potato still in the ground! Refined sugar, which Duigan
describes as like a 'toxic fat bomb' for your waistline, is banned. (See my
post, ‘How harmful is sugar?’ )
Another
recommendation is to eat natural, nutritious foods to give you energy rather
than a rollercoaster of unnatural highs provided by sugar and caffeine that
invariably end in a crash that will have you reaching for the next stimulant,
whether that be coffee, carbs, sweets or wine. And yes, ditch the booze.
But don’t worry. It’s not one of those strict regimes
that you will find difficult to keep to all of the time, because you don’t have
to.
It’s just that your attitude to eating and life generally
will change over time. (See my post ‘Your body Hates Change’)
Occasional indulgences, depending on time of year or
whether you’re on holiday, won’t matter in the great scheme of your life.
You’ll know that you can get back ‘on track’ easily.
The recipes from
the Clean & Lean book will keep you satisfied and no longer dying for a
snack between meals. The exercises that were devised so that anyone can do them
easily anywhere - at home, in the park or in the office between phone
calls, will keep you trim.
So you’ll have no
excuses. You’ll always have time to create the body and lifestyle that most
people can only dream about.
Here are quotes
from two ladies that no longer dream
about their beautiful bodies. They
already have them:
‘Love Clean & Lean, it has changed my
life! You don't need to spend hours in the kitchen at all, I don't. You just
need a little bit of organisation...I have 4 children aged 7 yrs and under plus
I work 2 jobs so if I can find the time to prepare fresh, tasty, 'clean' meals
I'm pretty sure most people can! I've been following this eating plan for
almost 2 years now and in total lost 2 stone and went down 3 dress size. I've
never been more confident, energized or happy :) Go on - read the book, it
could change your life too!’

‘I follow Clean and Lean (apart from a bit of
naughtiness at weekends) and it's amazing. It's a real common sense approach
and becomes a way of life. I used to always aim for low fat foods and would
never dream of eating avocado but that has completely changed now and I've
shifted 2 stone pretty damn quickly!’
